Even with the increasing number of flights at our local airports, driving still remains a popular way to travel. Not only do you eliminate the need to hire a car, you will also have room to take home some of the delights you will experience during your holiday!
Crossing the channel by ferry takes between 1 and 9 hours, with the most popular ferry operators being Brittany Ferries, P&O and Sea France
The Eurotunnel crossing takes 35 minutes and costs from £90 return for an average sized car, including passengers!
A number of tried and tested routes from the sea ports including a direct motorway trip that can take between 7 and 10 hours, a leisurely drive across country or maybe you fancy an overnight stop at a B&B.
By Air
You can fly direct into Bergerac which is our nearest airport only 50mins away, with Ryanair and Flybe from airports across the UK
Directions From Bergerac Airport (approx 1hr)
Exit Bergerac Airport and turn left onto the main road
Driving along the Monbazilliac Vineyards for approx 8mins, you'll see a left bend in the road with a wine shop on the right-hand-side, at this junction turn left and follow the directions for Issigeac
From Issigeac follow the signs to Villereal
From Villereal follow directions to Monflanquin
At Monflanquin you'll past a painting on a wall of a French maid/lady and the Black Prince (the painting is on the right-hand side as your driving along), once you past this painting you start to descend down a hill, take the turning left / then turn left again / then turn right going towards Salles
Drive through Salles heading towards Fumel- Things to look out for once you past Salles, Pizza/Honey shop located on a left hand corner, you'll cross a railway track, and you'll past a paper mill, at the end of this road you'll come to a main road, drive straight across the main road to the lane opposite, follow this lane for approx 5mins, at the end of this lane, you'll come to small crossroads, this is the D440.
Turn left onto the D440, driving away from Fumel, towards Chateau Bonaguil, our turning is the fourth on the right route C7 directions Chateau Bonaguil, you'll also see a signpost for Le Hameau de Borie, follow the C7 down the hill and our lane is the first turning on the left - Hurrah you've found us......
