Driving in France : Driving by car still remains a popular way to travel, not only do you eliminate the need to hire a car, you will also have room to take home some of the delights you will experience during your holiday like wine, truffles, fois gras and cheese! Crossing the channel : depending which crossing your decide to take the ferry can take between 1-9 hours, with the most popular operators : Brittany Ferries, P&O and Sea France.

The Eurotunnel : taking the train is a great crossings and takes approx 35 minutes.

A number of tried and tested direct routes, once in the french sea ports of France, the journey to Borie normally takes between 8-10hrs, or a nice leisurely drive across countryside with an overnight stop at a B&B can also be a lovely way to travel and you can enjoy the scenery on the way!

Flying to Bergerac or Toulouse : Bergerac is our nearest airport, which is less than an hour away for flights with Ryanair and Flybe, departing from major airports across the UK. Toulouse airport for flights with EasyJet, is approx 2hrs drive away.

Exit Bergerac Airport turn left onto the main road

Driving along the Monbazilliac Vineyards for approx 8mins, you will see a left bend in the road with a wine shop on the right-hand-side, at this junction turn left and follow the directions to Issigeac

From Issigeac follow the signs to Villereal

From Villereal follow directions to Monflanquin

At Monflanquin you'll go past a painting on a wall of a French maid/lady and the famous Black Prince (the painting is on the right-hand side as your driving along up the hill), once you past this painting you start to descend down the hill, you need to take the turning left / then turn left again / then turn right going towards the direction of Salles.

Driving through Salles heading towards Fumel keep on this road, things to look out for once you past Salles, a Pizza and Honey shop, which is located on a left hand corner, you'll cross a railway track, and you'll past a paper mill, at the end of this road you'll come to a main road, drive straight across this main road into the lane opposite, follow this lane for approx 5mins, and at the end of this lane, you'll come to small crossroads, at this crossroads you'll be on the D440.

Turn left onto the D440, driving away from Fumel, towards Chateau Bonaguil, take the fourth turning on the right, the C7 with directions to Chateau Bonaguil, you will also see a signpost for 'Le Hameau de Borie', follow the C7 down the hill, then take the first turning on the left.
